Malawi (MW) has been a member of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) since 25.10.1966. Malawi Posts Corporation is the designated operator.
Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC) was established in June 2000 as a Legal Company under the Communications Act No. 41 of 1998.
The law obliges MPC to provide postal and financial services and other services related to the transmission of postal articles. The company is regulated by the Malawi Regulatory Authority (MACRA) under a license that started operations in 2003.
MPC has an extensive network of 180 Post Offices throughout the country. The postal network has been further strengthened by 154 postal agencies that fall under the jurisdiction of Regional Councils across the country.
Mail delivery and postal service in Malawi is handled by the Malawi Posts Corporation.

About Malawi
Malawi is a country with many different kinds of people. It is home to some of the most helpful and friendly people in Africa. Also, it is one of the poorest places on Earth. Lake Malawi takes up about 20% of its area. Lilongwe is the largest city and capital of the country. People speak English and Chewa, which are the two official languages. Malawi’s currency is the kwacha.
It is a country in the southeast of Africa that can only be reached by land. Mozambique is in the east, Tanzania is in the north, and Zambia is in the northwest. Blantyre, Karonga, Lilongwe, Mzuzu, and Zomba are the cities that get the most visitors. It is usually affected by a tropical climate. In July and August, the average temperature is 21 degrees, and in October, it is 29 degrees. From December to April, it rains.
From May to November is the best time to go somewhere. In this time period, June, July, and August are the months with the best weather. “Nsima” is the name of the local food. Chambo, which is made with fresh fish, is a very well-known dish. In the city centers, there are also restaurants that serve food from all over the world.
