About Mulanje
Mulanje is one of the 28 districts of the African country Malawi. Mulanje is located within the Southern region, one of the country’s three regions. The central city of the district is the city of Mulanje, which has the same name as the general of the district. The district is adjacent to Phalombe district in the east, Zomba district in the north, Chiradzulu district and Thyolo district in the west, and Mozambique state in the south.
According to 2018 official government data, in the district where 684,107 people lived, 428,322 people were living according to 1998 official data.
